Mechatronics Engineering Clayton Club (MECC)

Established in 2006, MECC is the society of Mechatronics students at Monash University. We assist students to develop and apply traditional classroom theory in practical fields by running various competitions. We also promote opportunities for students to undertake industry experience and assist to strengthen the bond between university students and industry.

Society of Monash Electrical Engineers ( SMEE )

​SMEE is the society for students in the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, and all those who share a curiosity in electronics, robotics and technology. We aim to provide a relaxed and social environment for students who are interested in engineering, where they can meet like-minded students and share their passion in technology.

Robot Building Competition

For the past five years, our clubs have run the Robot Building Competition at Monash University.​
This particular competition aims to teach students practical skills in robots, computing and engineering problem solving to students in the first and second year of their course. Tutorials on subjects such as computer-aided design, circuit design, and programming are run in the weeks leading to a final competition weekend event. The competition is the product of the skills developed and a chance to compete in a fun environment for some sort-after prizes.
